Blippar.com worked with several different Xero versions to run their accounts. They found it increasingly difficult to manage, and with an increase in growth and revenue it would be unmanageable and they would struggle to get the relevant management reports from the systems and relied heavily on Excel.

With Blippars ambitious growth plans for 2017 it was time for them to move to a finance system that would grow and scale with them.

We were using a system aimed at small businesses, which became clunky, manual and not scalable, we needed to upgrade to a system that was suitable for a fast growing technology company.

A choice to make

They needed a solution that was flexible and that didn’t have any constraints on functionality. It was essential that Blippar.com used a cloud-based financial management system that managed; multi-currency, multi-book accounts, different taxation entities, multi company consolidations and key management reports.

When searching for a new system Blippar.com started with a blank piece of paper, they wanted a system that was well known and met all of their requirements, including being a cloud based ERP solution – it was scaled down to just 2 systems Sage X3 and NetSuite…

One of the main reasons NetSuite appealed to Blippar.com was because they knew other technology businesses in the industry were using it and going from strength to strength with the system. And once they started seeing demonstrations of NetSuite it was described as; easier to work with and to understand and more user friendly than Sage X3.

We were advised that in order to have NetSuite working properly, it need to be implemented correctly and Nolan demonstrated the ability to do that.

Going the extra mile

When Blippar spoke of their initial requirements they mentioned one of their main challenges was how Sales Orders were raised in PipeDrive and had to subsequently be manually entered into Xero. With this, our NetSuite SuiteCloud Developers proposed to Blippar an integration between NetSuite and PipeDrive to take that manual job away and then developed a Proof of Concept for Blippar, so they could see how it would work for them.
